Get Good® At Life + Work Showreel (Shorter Version) from popular Motivational Speaker Lee Jackson – more info: http://leejackson.org/motivational-resilience-speaker-in-business-lee-jackson/

Here is a little more info… Get Good® At Life + Work is Lee’s bespoke keynote presentation and workshop for conferences or staff away days. It’s an engaging mix of common sense, ancient wisdom and good research which is both encouraging and challenging, and it’s funny too. His keynote and follow-up workshop works very well in small and large conferences alike, Lee loves the after-lunch slot too! After the main keynote, the workshop would add to the keynote and go deeper with discussion and take-away exercises including one written exercise that serves as a great way to do work differently after the conference.

Here is a flavour of what Lee delivers.

In a nutshell, he covers:

The Why – pressing pause and helping delegates understand ‘why’ they do their job and how that can help them every day, using examples of people who have found that out.

The How – learning some good skills that we all need to be better at our work. Beating Procrastination. Handling the temptation to firefight all day long. Dealing with email so it doesn’t take over our lives. Understanding that working hard works. The big fear that all humans have, the fear of failure and how that can affect us. And the process of understanding how to Get Good little bit by little bit every day – marginal gains make us more successful.

The Keeping On Going – The problem of perfectionism. Attitude, teamwork and resilience stories, including many stories of those we know and some we don’t.

Lee aims to be professional, funny, encouraging and challenging.

When a fellow speaker is in your hometown, I thought that at least I could do was to say hello, pick them up, take them to the train station and record the conversation along the way! In this episode, we talk about the art and practicalities of great storytelling and much more with my guest Alan Stevens aka The Mediacoach. We also talk about the sights of Leeds, David Bowie, Emmerdale, Victoria Wood, the PSA, Comedy and peoples insecurities on stage! Enjoy and learn with a fun chat with my guest Alan Stevens aka The Mediacoach – http://mediacoach.co.uk
(P.S. People on social media can get a little wound up when they hear that you have recorded something in a car. So let me be clear: the recording device was fixed to the car and we do not touch it at all during our journey. We were in effect just having a chat in the car and happen to record it. No laws were broken in the making of this podcast, thank you!)
