A note on safety for filming in cars: I researched this information so I thought I’d share it to save you all time…

A professional speaker like anyone else can, of course, use this technique of in-car interview as long as they have done the right and proper due diligence and research as I and the PSA have done in my case. This practice is not illegal and legal / insurance consultations have been made. All risks have been minimised to the best of our ability. No camera or phone is touched during the interview and we are driving on slow, quiet and well known routes at all times. It is not much different from having a conversation in a car with a friend.

If you as a speaker or anyone else would like to interview in this way then please also do the proper research, training and risk assessments.

And, finally, if you do not like to see interviews recorded safely in cars like this or Peter Kay’s Car share, or Jerry Seinfeld’s comedians in Cars Getting Coffee or James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke or the original Carpool with Robert Llewellyn, you can of course simply choose to not watch them, we all have different viewing tastes. But please do not criticise me or other people on public forums, as that is not helpful or professional.
