#13 Grace – U2

After been given the book “What’s so amazing about grace?”, Bono wrote this beautiful song. I don’t like religion and rules, but i love real practical faith based on this thing called grace. It’s life-changing stuff.

#14 Melt – Leftfield

Probably the best ambient / chill out tune of all time. Great instrumentals are hard to find, this is the ultimate. Press pause, take 5 minutes out now and just listen (with good speakers or headphones for full effect). Amazing that the band who produced Afrika Shox also produced this.

#15 Afrika Shox – Leftfield

Leftfield have been one of favourite bands for years now since my friend Simon introduced them to me. Their albums are now maybe the only albums that i listen to in full. This is perfect production, apparently they took a whole year to find the right snare drum  for this song! Now thats dedication.

#16 Azzido Da Bass – Dooms Night (Timo Maas Remix)

Probably my favourite ‘breakz’ dance tune, I used to play this when i was DJ-ing and it always made the place go wild, great breakdowns and BIG bass. Great dance music, maybe even the forerunner of dub step. Makes you drive faster – beware!

#17 Ain’t Nobody – Rufus and Chaka Khan

This was our first dance at our wedding, I also remember breakdancing to it when i was a kid in a school disco (!) It was also featured in the Film “Breakdance – the movie” (or “Breakin'” as it was known in the states). A great 80’s soul/funk song. I love it.

#18 Don’t stop ’til you get enough – Michael Jackson

When I’ve Dj-ed at parties and mates weddings (!) this is THE guaranteed floor-filler, perfect Quincy Jones disco pop. Amazing production. Michael at his best.

#20 Clocks – Coldplay

I’ve always loved this song, beautiful piano riff and lyrics that hint at a fuller story. Seeing them live last year with our flashing wristbands was truly amazing!

This IS late 1980’s Hip Hop, I saw them live at their peak, probably the best gig I’ve ever been to, even with the odd fight breaking out! Anthrax sampling, hardcore political Hip Hop.

A perfect piece of uplifting house music. Used to love playing this out live, a genuine floor-filler.
